Emergency Service is a New York City-based band with music that fuses the relaxed vibes of reggae, the consciousness of hip-hop, the rhythm and groove of funk, and the energy of the city it calls home. With upbeat and thought-provoking songs that feature memorable hooks and a positive message, Emergency Service blends a number of genres to create a brand of music all its own. Time Out New York says Emergency Service’s “reggae fused hip-hop recalls Arrested Development,” and over the past three years the band has brought that musical fusion along with its explosive live show to some of the premiere venues in New York and around the Northeast, opening for a number of nationally and internationally touring acts, and playing to crowds that that love the energy and sound of songs they can’t help but sing along to.
