Grand Bois plays traditional Cajun dance music: the exuberant, soulful hybrid of Acadian French, African Creole and other diverse musical influences found among the bayous and prairies of Southwest Louisiana. Inspired by legendary roots musicians like the Balfa Brothers, Bois Sec Ardoin and Iry LeJeune, the band offers up a spicy mix of Cajun and Creole two-steps and waltzes. The driving combination of accordion, fiddle and guitar, along with powerful vocals and rocking percussion, makes Grand Bois a joy to listen to and irresistible to dancers.
