Jazz Composer's Alliance Orchestra

The JCA Orchestra's 2009/2010 residency will start in December and continue on the first Sunday of each month into the 2010 season.

JCA concerts are adventurous high-energy events, drawing on influences that span the history of jazz and encompass the world's musical traditions. The JCA composers bring together a huge palette of sounds, structures and concepts to make their concerts unique sonic experiences.

The Jazz Composers Alliance Orchestra has been a fixture on Boston's creative music scene since December 1985. Combining dedicated musicianship, innovative programming and fresh compositional ideas. The Jazz Composers Alliance will present a program of creative music featuring compositions for the 19-piece JCA Orchestra by resident composers Dave Harris, Jim Hobbs, Darrell Katz, Bob Pilkington, Warren Senders, and Norm Zocher.
