Lee Genesis' deepest desire is to have his music heard throughout the world. He was given the opportunity to perform at noted jazz festivals and concerts througthout Europe alongside great artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Cassandra Wilson, the Marsalis brothers and Jon Hendricks. During an early run in his music career, Lee opened for Bette Midler (Barry Manilow, MD), drummer Billy Cobham; R&B and jazz artists Jean Carne, LaVern Baker, Dakota Staton and disco greats Tavares. He landed a role in Somerset, a television soap opera series that propelled him to broadway where he landed roles in "The Me Nobody Knows", "Inner City Blues", "Mary Jane" and "Godspell". Lee Genesis is finally releasing his first CD entitled "The Soul of Lee Genesis". The CD is a showcase of the soulful varieties of music this artist has long been holding in his heart for much too long. Two of the cuts are straight out of his "house" years experiences. There is also one high energy rock track, one gentle gospel ballad, and several cuts featuring hot, hot rhythm & blues. The trobbing beats together with Genesis' soulful gospel/R&B sound are infectious.
