BiographyThe Band That Time Forgot plays known and lessor known songs from the 1960s and early '70s, complete with lava lamps and incense. Formed 23 years ago, each member of The Band That Time Forgot has an impressive background, and it's apparent based on their sound of today that they've played together for many years. The band are all are veterans of the local music scene. Tim (Stash) Jackson has played with Robin Lane and The Chartbusters, LaVern Baker, Tom Rush, and others and is also a filmmaker. Peter (Head West) Hoffman played with Willie Nile and as part of that band, opened for The Who on tour. Bassist Richard Gates is well-known around town having played bass with an huge list of local musicians in the studio, on tour, in local clubs, and also as a producer. Veteran keyboardist/rhythm guitarist Larry (Sonny California) Luddecke has worked with numerous local and national acts from Tom Rush to Dana Gillespi to John Hammond. He owns and operated Straight Up Music Recording Studio. Very highly recommended, this is a band you really have to experience. They have quite a following, having received a Best of Boston Award early in their career. Most folks spend the entire evening on the dance floor.
