The ingenious and dreamlike escapades of Brit song and mood-craftier, Stephen Coates, originated in his attempts at recreating the sounds he heard at home, in his childhood — 'the crackling of radios playing swing and easy listening in some distant room.' Coates doesn't hesitate to put those sounds to subversive use much like some of his illustrious forebears and influences such as Serge Gainsbourg and Ennio Morricone. A jazz, pop, electronica collage not to be missed.
