A dynamic contingent of local musicians have been enlisted by Veterans for Peace to produce a night of folk, rock, pop and jazz to benefit two Veteran backed antiwar groups, Veterans For Peace and Iraq Veterans Against The War..

Celia Slattery

Celia's original music weaves the catchy melodies typical of a Brill Building classic with perceptive lyrics inspired by artists like Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, and Richard Thompson, all of whom she also covers. [ Celia's site ]

The Porch Party Mamas

Inspired by playing and singing each other's songs at their own "porch parties," these gal pals and established Boston area singer/ songwriters combined their individual talents to create their own brand of Urban Folk, Country and Blues. [ Ksenia Mack`s site ]

Deb Pasternak

Pasternak is an award- winning performer who is celebrated for her writing talent as well as her performance style. Combining nuanced and smart songwriting, resonant nightingale vocals, accomplished and original guitar stylings and a fresh, stunning stage presence, and you get Deb Pasternak. Katrina Degel Quartet

The Katrina Degel Quartet, consisting of Berklee veterans Katrina Degel (vocals), Natalie Dietrich (vibes), Rodrigo Bonelli (drums), and Jeff McAuliffe (bass), plays jazz, R&B, funk and originals. Their unique sound is a result of their diverse repertoire, and the use of vibes instead of the traditional piano. [ Katrina Degel Quartet site ]

Media Made

Boston's Media Made began as a solo project for Christian Medice's pop/rock introspection but in early '08, has evolved into a full- fledged quartet. With dozens of enlightened pop songs, the band is set to tour in the Fall. [ Media Made MySpace ]
