Info about booking at Johnny D's
We are a 300 capacity headline music venue, and we do not have a built in draw. We've built a reputation presenting good music of all sorts. The public that comes here is generally coming to see a specific artist. Check our calendar page and see if what you do might fit in with us.
ON LINE press kits are generally the rule, and sending us a link to yours is a good way to start. We do accept hard press kits, but only by request. Please do not send us unsolicited materials.
We field a tremendous amount of booking requests, so please be aware that you must have a track record in the Boston area before you come to us- it does neither you nor us much good to have a conversation about an artist who has no name recognition and has not played the Boston area. We'd love to hear from you eventually, when you get things rolling, but not just yet. It takes about 3 weeks, more or less, for us to get to your submission.

We will need to know:
- info on where you or your artist have played and how many people came to see the shows
- whether you or your artist have label support
- whether you have a publicist
- what recordings you have made and whether they have been played on radio or other media outlets.
- info on what your current Boston area contacts (email lists, other reasons why folks in this area might be interested in you or your artist) are.
Please do not be offended if we do not get back to you - it may be that what you or your artist does are just not compatible with this venue, even though it's great stuff.
