A note to our Johnny D’s family and those affected by it: our patrons, our staff, our vendors, our musicians, our neighbors, our friends.
First and foremost, I thank you for the amazing tribute paid to Tina - the public and private outpouring of affection and respect you all have given her as well as the sincere support you have shown to me, Sean, the kids, and of course, each other. Even more importantly, thank you for being part of Tina’s life, in whatever capacity that came. She was proud of her achievements and knew there were many, many people who played a role in her success. It is all of you that helped Tina keep that sparkle in her eyes and I hope she did the same for you.
Sean and I are so fortunate to have had all these years in Johnny D’s, many of these years learning from Tina, and many paving our own ways, trying new things to keep our business vibrant and healthy. I grew up here as a kid, started full time when my dad passed away 23 years ago, and, despite not being physically here at night raising our kids the last few years, have been overseeing the music booking and brunch aspect of our club throughout. Sean has accumulated close to 16 years at Johnny D’s, first starting as a waiter, leaving to get a Hotel and Restaurant Management degree, then returning to Johnny D’s as a manager. When we connected, we fell in love, and knew we would be building our family and work lives with Johnny D’s always part of the picture. We are very thankful for that opportunity.
Now the years ahead without Tina stand before us. As we take the time to review the lay of the (Johnny D’s) land, we are well aware of the most supportive and capable staff any one could ever ask for. I honestly don’t believe there are many businesses, much less the restaurant business, that has the longtime staff that we are fortunate to have. The newer staff, especially during this difficult time, have more than shown us how important they too, are part of our success. We look ahead with great hope and confidence.
Please look for some bar renovations we had been planning to
do this summer, as well as some big shows new to our stage in addition
to the Johnny D’s you have come to know and love.

We're heading into our 40th year...
Our intrepid bartender (and gardener) John
Bonaccorso has of late brewed up a delightful
new set of flavors unique to Johnny D's-infused
tequila, starting with the best tequila and
adding fresh fruit (strawberry and blueberry
are favorites), apricots, coffee, mint, and
others. One of the most unusual and tasty is
his "hot" brew, which uses habanera
peppers grown in his own garden! Come by and
sample the latest of his concoctions- they're
really good.
We have three big screens to watch the games
on now, in HDTV, no less!
